Mac OS X Leopard on the eMachine Et1331-02
As I have said before, I am currently testing Leopard 10.5.6 on my eMachine ET1331-02, This is what I have found...
It runs great, it boots in about 7-12 seconds both Cores are working and is very fast and responsive. USB,LAN, and sound work, to get Graphics working you will have to get and add-on PCI-e Graphics card that is supported and install a Kext for it accordingly. So basically this machine runs Leopard fine, but the only downside is that it requires adding a Gaphics card for the internal one is not supported. I used iPC 10.5.6 PPF5 Final to install, you need the PPF5 patch to install this properly because this patch includes "AppleNforceATAtest.kext" and the chipset will only work with this particular kext installed. I have not tested Disk Burning yet so I am unsure of this feature working or not. Specs: Processor AMD Athlon 2 X2 @ 2.7GHZ RAM: 4GB Motherboard: Generic AM3 ( There is a model number on this board but I can't seem to link it to a company...) Basically I will be typing up a guide here soon, y'all are welcome to comment and what not. RETIRED Last edited by 00010; 08-07-2010 at 09:00 PM. |
