As wierd as it sounds, I was working with leopard and it froze, and when I shut it down using the button, i couldn't boot back in.. I noticed in my boot menu that my hard drive changed name from: WDC WD5000AAKS 65TMA to UDA UD400E@ 11APD0.. I can't see it in windows using Mac Drive as well.

I presume you mean the HD disk drive information and not the volume name. It's possible that I had something similar, turn off the computer, disconnect the harddrive, go in the BIOS and save settings without the HD connected. Now turn the computer off again, connect the HD and enter athe BIOS and save it again. That should work.
But: OS X doesn't care much about the BIOS. I had a DVD-Burner which wasn't detected in BIOS, but MacOS found it and I could even burn with it. 2 Opteron systems: OSx86 10.5.8, Andy's 9.8.0 kernel, Asus A8N-SLI Premium, Opteron 185 o'clocked @ 2 x 2,95 GHz (2nd system 2.6 GHz), ATI Radeon HD2600XT 256MB Dual-Monitor 2x HP L2035, 4 GB RAM, Griffin FireWave as main audio device, Marvell + nForce LAN, Asus U3S6 USB3/SATA6 card, 5,5 TB harddisk, Firewire 800 card, Apple Remote + eHome IR receiver, 2x Wacom serial graphics tablet, Canon Pixma iP4700, Logitech Internet Navigator wireless keyboard/mouse combination. Thank You,
When I did this my HD disk drive info changed like it was before, but when I wanted to boot leopard.. As it was booting it restarted and then on my second attempt to boot it, I get a Kernel Panic. On the bright side, I can view my HD files through MAC drive, so if I need to reinstall leo4all v3 I can.
