I have been having some minor issues with my video card and I saw that there is a latest version of NVInstaller available. Now if I install it, would it break by install?
I have a GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB card and AMD X2 4200+ system (just incase :P) |

It does break the install. You have to patch the OpenGL framework with Marwin utility. If you have an nforce motherboard you also have to edit the plists of the files: NVDAResman.kext, NVDANV50HAL.kext and GEFORCE.kext and remove the device ids it contain and add your device id instead.

WOW. That's a lot of stuff that needs to be done. Oh well, I'll just keep what I have right now. Thanks for the info Common Sense.

Are there any improvements for geforce cards, is it newer kext that we have in 10.5.2 dvd? I noticed nvinject is 0.2.1, i'd like give it a try if the newer driver improves the performance.

Would it be possible if someone can make this into an AMD version? I would really like to try out the newest one. I have been noticing that on my screen, sometimes I see these yellow spots.
