It could be related to using 4GB of memory. Try booking with to limit OSX to 2GB of memory and try to get it to freeze. If that works then let me know and ill explain some of the fixes available. There are a few 64bit modified kexts that correct this issue.
Is it a total system freeze? mouse audio & apps?
