Please Help, I am Brand New at This
Hey everyone, I am new to this whole mac scene and I was looking for some guidance. I heard somewhere one the net that people are putting mac os leopard on their AMD pc's. I started looking into it more and got really interested, but I don't know where to start. If anyone could tell me what to download where, how to make it into an iso, and how to install it properly on my new 500gb hdd. Here are my specs:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 5600+ 2 gigs ddr2 800 ram Nvidia geforce 8600 gt 256mb 320gb hitachi hdd running windows xp media center 500gb western digital with nothing on it Thanks! |

Instead of attempting to make your own iso, your best bet is to look for an existing release that works on AMD. Currently the best options are either Leo4Allv4.1 or LawlessPPC - you can find them in the usual places. Knowing your motherboard chipsets will help you most when customising the install options for your hardware. Hope this points you in the right direction ![]() Mac OS X 10.6.4 Retail || Intel Core2 Duo E8200 2.66GHz || Gigabyte G31M-ES2L || GeForce 6600 GT 128MB || Realtek ALC883 Audio || Realtek RTL8169 LAN || Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB HD || Sony Dual Layer IDE DVD RW DW-D22A || Apple Aluminium Keyboard || Mighty Mouse MacBook Pro || 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo || 200Gb HD || 2Gb Ram || NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT iPhone 4 || 16Gb |
