![]() Hopefully there's no similar threads, but.. I have a microsoft keyboard + mouse w/ extra media buttons, and the only way i can use them is to have the proper drivers, and to plug them in USB ports. The problem is that when i plug them into and use them in USB the computer doesn't want to sleep anymore, and when i switch them back to the PS/2 setup i have going now, sleep continues working just fine..
Is this one of those situations where i have to sacrifice something, or is there a fix/workaround? Perhaps there's a wake-on-USB setting in your BIOS and it's messing with OS X sleeping?
Just a thought. Try turning off any setting like that in your BIOS. Maybe that'll sort it. If I wanted to be mean I'd suggest it was because you were using a Microsoft keyboard and mouse, but I know better. ![]() Custom Hackintosh...AMD Athlon X2 5000+ (2.6 GHz) on GA-MA78GM-S2H...Linksys WMP300n Wireless...ALC889a sound...ATI HD 3650 PCIe...1 GB DDR2 RAM...320GB Western Digital SATA + 200GB Seagate IDE HDD...Rosewill DVD-RW IDE...Running Kalyway upgraded to 10.5.7...All Fully Functional |

i've tried every single combo in my bios to fix this option, but maybe i will try another USB keyboard/ Mouse to see if it works. Because i really want to get the Apple Keyboard/Mouse but i only want to get it if every key will work ie plug it into the USB, and still have sleep working..
Or do you think that every key (media keys, Fkeys) will work on the Apple Keyboard if i plug it with a PS/2 adapter? Another option is bluetooth. 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean.
