Thx a lot for the info bro. I never did the tryout trick first. So in case of a kernel panic you just reboot and the old kernel is being used again right?
I'm going to try this right now since I won't do any harm now. Did you use the new system.kext too?
Update: it worked of course. After all this time I feel like a bloody noob again, hmm. Saf crashed at first but after that it was ok, probably due to non updated system.kext.
So now you just rename the kernel without setting permissions or anything? update: kernel is good to go but haven't update the system.kext
Any idea how I can try the system kext too without messing up my system?
