Hello everyone, I've noticed that at times I had to turn off my computer manually instead of seeing it automatically shut down. Is this a problem? I sometimes get a message after my hard drive turns off stating to hold the power button for several seconds or restart, etc. If somebody knows about this, can you please list any ideas in how to fix this? Thank you.

The title of this thread was improperly phrased. It is not the result of a computer problem that is causing my system to ask for a manual shutdown.

Another issue I am having in addition to this one, is how come I don't have a Startup disk info section in the "About this Mac" graphics? Screenshot attached. Thanks.

Shutdown/restart is always hit or miss. Works for some, not for others, nothing to worry too much about though. I have no idea why it doesn't show the startup disk, mine does, but again nothing really to worry about.

Thank you. =) Would I need to patch parallel's desktop? Also, if I don't prefer this method for booting into vista, what is the difficulty for configuring easyBCD?

I think its pretty easy to setup, I have XP instead of Vista so I can't help ya there. But I know I have seen some tutorials for it. Parallels will work after you open the install package and edit the info.plist.
Code:
<key>TestObject</key>
<string>GenuineIntel</string>
needs to say
Code:
<key>TestObject</key>
<string>AuthenticAMD</string>

I downloaded the 30-day trial and replaced the strings that you told me. Is this fine?

If I was to choose between EasyBCD and Parallels which one would you rather choose? Thank you. =)

Copy the install package to your desktop and right click it and choose show package contents. Its under the first folder. EasyBCD is for a native Vista install, where as Parallels will be a virtual machine running from within Leopard. If you want to game in XP/Vista do the native install. If you just need some windows programs then Parallels will probably do.

Is there any way I can view in full-screen mode? The display is very small. I'm using Parallels for now. Thank you.

This software is great! Played around with it a bit and attached is a screenshot. If I was to also use Linux (Sabayon Linux) do you think I can take advantage of the 3D effects /acceleration?

Am I suppose to enable Intel VT-x which enhances virtual machine performance?
