I used iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6, then used the Combo from .

You see, iDeneb v1.4 has Decrypt and Disabler to enable you to update safely within the OS.

You could alternatively (to be on the EXTREMELY safe side) use the iDeneb DVD to install the update using the following:

1. Extract the PKG from the Combo / Delta update DMG from Apple's website to a place (Home folder e.g.) where you can remember it.

2. Boot the iDeneb DVD, once into the Welcome screen, Click "Utilities" and open Terminal.

3. Type the following:
Code:
/Volumes/iDenebHDDName/usr/bin/open /Path/to/Package/MacOSXUpdCombo10.5.7.pkg
Obviously replacing "iDenebHDDName" with your current iDeneb HD name, and "/Path/to/Package" with the REAL path to the Package leaving "MacOSXUpdCombo10.5.7.pkg" at the end.

4. The installer window should open and the procedure should be simple from there.

Hope this helps
