List the exact "Customize" options you chose when you first installed. My 8600GTS works perfectly with the 10.5.2 install.

Running both 10.5.8 and 10.6.4 on my stinking AMD/ATi machine...

Take a look at the wiki on the how to guide for EFI GFX. It should be worth doing since you have everything else working already.

Eddie you mean the "How to: Create and Install GFX Strings for EFI" tutorial?

What is it exactly doing? and do I read well I need to remove my nvinject kext?
Is SFX also interesting? Ive got a ALC888 Audio on my motherboard

Eddie, does this method actually negate the need for nvinject?

Yes ... If all goes well. Because all graphic cards aren't supported using this EFI GFX string.

Mac OS X 10.6.3 • 2.8 GHz Intel Core I7 860 • ASUS P7P55D • 2 GB 2 Ghz DDR3 • ATI RADEON XFX 4890 1GB • 2 x Hitachi 160 GB Serial-ATA • PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-112 • LaCie Desktop Harddrive 750 GB USB

Wow, thats incredible news. I guess this brings us one step closer to using the vanilla GeForce extensions and kexts?
