You'll need to provide a LOT more information! Your AMD CPU type isn't nearly as important as which motherboard it sits on and what chipsets are used on the MB... When installing OSx86 it's important to know your hardware (main chipset, audio chipset, LAN chipset, video card / chipset, and etc. (notice I keep saying "chipset"?)) To find the proper "drivers" (.kexts), you usually need to know your EXACT hardware - down to the chipset being used...
Running both 10.5.8 and 10.6.4 on my stinking AMD/ATi machine... |

"Leo4All v3" or "Zephyroth Leopard 10.5.2 rev2"
To upgrade to newer versions use Zephyroth's "Advanced Software Update". Your processor must support SSE2 instruction sets. SSE3 is preferred for running Mac OS X, and SSE2 is getting harder and harder to get to work as the new versions come. |

Thank you for the reply!
It seems my CPU supports only SSE not even SSE2 or 3!! Mobo: Sis Chipset Audio: AC97 Nvidia Video FX5500 I think that's all?! |

unfortunately I think you are going to have to wait to try the voodoo kernels or the xnu kernels as their support for other than SSE3 processors tends to be better. Once these kernels become a base-kernel for an install disc, they will work for you.
Also, you might consider a hardware upgrade in order to better allow yourself to enjoy OS X. :-) 💡 Deploy cloud instances seamlessly on DigitalOcean. Free credits ($100) for InfMac readers. |
