Try installing the Voodoo Kernel. You can get it here: http://code.google.com/p/xnu-dev/

Here is a direct download: http://xnu-dev.googlecode.com/files/..._1.0_Rev_A.dmg

Remember to use a matching system.kext which I believe is included in the package.

Here you go:
http://www.infinitemac.com/f36/zephy...-aug-18-t1385/

But if the Voodoo Kernel will work for you, you don't need to use it as it does the AMD pathcing itself.
(Just take the usal Combo Upgrade guides, instead of the System Update for complete Systemupgrades.)

ok update: i managed to update to 10.5.8 with a different distribution.

i was using zephyroth 10.5.2...

i used iaktos 10.5.7 and the updates seems to work well.. but i do have another problem

i miss the driver for my videocard: ati hd 3870

and my sound drivers seems to be buggy... i do have sound but i hear somekind of scratching noise when i listen to something... maybe my drivers are wrong... the soundcard is the realtek rlc883.

thanks a lot
