i had the same problem with using guid on 10.5.2 r2.
i solved it finally by installing first without bootloader and adding it later manually:

i needed several tries, i guess it had to do with choosing the right disk.
where did you get the info about your disk from? you have to be sure about
disk3s2, better doublecheck via disktool@dvd and terminal@dvd/singleuserboot.
it seems to me that the nummeration depends on different factors...
