I see there is a v2 of your mainboard... (v1 has SB600)
Anyway how about trying SATA in AHCI mode? Or do you have IDE devices? AMD Phenom II X4 955 - ASRock AM3A770DE - 8GB DDR3-1333 - Radeon HD 5570 1GB passiv - BCM4318 802.11b/g - Snow Leopard Retail
+++ AMD Phenom X3 8450 - ASRock AM2NF6G-VSTA (BIOS L2.39) - 4GB DDR2-800 - Radeon HD 4650 512MB - Snow Leopard Retail (retired) / OpenBSD |

Thanks for your help mate,
I have got v2 with SB700, I looked on the retail box. Tried it with AHCI and still the same "waiting for root device". (Yes, I have Sata, not IDE) Now I would like to get the EmpireEFI version with SB700-support instead of SB600-support... EDIT: I tried to edit it myself, will try to boot now. (I only edited the preboot.dmg - is that enough?) Last edited by hecke92; 01-14-2010 at 02:46 PM. |

Hm, now I am getting a kernel-panic...no "waiting for root device" anymore...

Must I use 10.6.0 retail-version? That would clarify some things for me, because I have got 10.6.2 retail and it does not work...
