I dont think video cards output sound through their hdmi. I have a 9800gt and I used both hdmi and vga. I didn't have any sound, just get a headphone out to rca from radio shack.
Also, I followed this guide and I have noticed my usb speeds being slow. According to this . It takes about 42 secounds to transfer 1 gig of information to a usb drive (connected directly to my board). Any Ideas?
