So basically makes no different if you use the OP method whether GPT or MBR formatted HDD?
I also understand the G41M-ES2L works fine with this guide and only needs the audio bit changing as its ALC888B (aka ALC887)
Maybe the OP could edit the first post, add the audio and then his guide covers Gigabytes replacement board for the G31M-ES2L!!!
