Do you have anymore information you could give us, i.e. Boot Args, Kexts, etc.?  That could help a little bit to identify where your kernel panic is coming from.
Also, do you plan to dual-boot Windows and OS X? I actually tried this before, but got better results just formatting my HD to GUID...
