retail on my amd

will i be able to install retail snow leopard on my computer.

Yes it will, but i do suggest you get a discrete graphics card, otherwise you won't have QE/CI.

any idea how i could do it should i use empire efi or somthing else?

Yeah empire efi should work just make sure it's the version with amd/nforce support.

i booted with -v and it came up with disk1s2: I/O error
will i have to get a new disK?
