Exactly,,,

I edited my smbios.plist to read the info, for example I put DDR3 at 1066 brand Corsair, which its not (just the brand, rest of info correct), but it show up like that in profiler, except it reads DDR2.

Didnt edit anything for CPU and reads correct clock, but like this -> 2,46Ghz Unknown

. In Leo it read ram at 1067

So how can we check if CPU clocks and RAM speeds are correct? In Leo its just having the correct smbios.kext, right?

"Add "SMexternalclock" and "SMmaximalclock" strings to your Extra/smbios.plist with the correct info for your CPU
Exemple for my CPU Q6600 2,4 GHz :"

Could anyone tell me how exactly I can edit my smbios?
I dont even know wheter I have this "extra" folder and where smbios.plist is located.
Would be reaaaaally nice !

In the root of your HD, folder Extra which "belongs" to Chameleon. smbios.plit goes there.

Check the thread I made, I posted my plist. You can edit out to match your system

:( Still not working

I have an SMBIOS.plist in my extas folder, but that hasn't changed everything.
Does this method only work if you have Chameleon 2 (RC1 431, RC2 640)? I've yet to get that working with SL, and I've since had to revert back to Chameleon 1.0.12 to get SL to even boot (Netkas's PCEFI 10.1, 10.2 are not working either. I THINK I'm using v9 but I'm not too sure because it came in a SL bundle pack).

I've also tried to edit the localizable strings in System/Library/Systemprofiler/SPPlatformreport.spreporter but that just mucked everything up. I'm at my wits end, and any help would be appreciated

I'm wondering how to change my CPU name? Is it possible? See this picture: http://media.iukkoth.net/images/sl.png

Now it reports as "Unknown" (as shown in the screen)

Thanks!

Boobear, yes I believe you do need Chameleon 2 to get Extra folder working.
