Not to turn into megaargon, but I have the AMD 770 chipset now, I've been playing with the 10.5.1 dvd, and have been getting the waiting for root message, trying to figure out what I'm doin wrong...

@zephyroth / roisoft:

and what about this thing?

There is now final extension fix from #leopard @ irc.osx86.hu.

You can get it here.
Unpack it an place it to /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/MasOS/
If you used my workaround please restore your backup of NetworkInterfaces.plist.

This fix will set IOBuiltin = true for all network devices.

and at the following link there are more information about this error, it may help you:

@howarchaic

please search in this forum - in my opinion your problem was discussed severeal times - just take some minutes and search for it!
i didnt have that problem yet but i mean its caused by a wront master/slave setting - just consult the forum posts and your bios ;)

maybe set your cable select to master/slave! and try again

Don't worry, I am not asking for more. At least we got an ETA. Thank you very much Zeph. I can say that you are doing a truly amazing job getting the smoothest install for us. I can't wait to try it out. Don't forget, I am willing to seed overnight once the update is released. So we can see something in the horizon, right? I'm on your side. I wouldn't be surprised to see the release as early as Friday. Take a break Zeph after you are done with the upload while we take care of the rest. =)

megaargon1 02-14-2008 06:49 AM

huh? Wait-a-sec- you're uploading something? :-o Just kidding, lol, :-) - Cheers. As I said, I am in no hurry, but do keep it up. I like where this is going. I can see the hard work you are doing Zeph. We all really do appreciate it. :-)
