Tnx for answer zephyrot =)
If the id of the graphic card is founded in the same way of the hard disk The dev-id of my card is 0x0533. The card is a nVidia GeForce 7000M I think thats it, is compatible? Tnx for read me Cya! |
@ emaildopedrooo
Maybe you have to repartition your harddisk? My Windows partitions also are greyed out. If formatting is possible select 'Overwrite with zeroes' from the Security Options. |
Anyone know or have an educated guess whether or not OSX would work with my system? I have posted my specs before but here is my CPUID and video card spec. thanks in advance for any help

@ naquaada
I followed this: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=14715 But when I try to Erase the partition in Disk Manager, nothing happens. I'll try the 'Overwrite with zeroes'. (Using TubGirl release, it's a Tiger release. Still downloading the Zephyroth Leopard 10.5.1 AMD). Thanks for help, and sorry for my English. =\ |
Hi there,
I wanna share my installation experiences with revision 1 and help the staff to make a perfect revision 2 ;-) My hardware specifications: Laptop ID: Medion 97900 CPU: AMD Turion 64 Mobile MK-36 2.0Ghz. SSE, SSE2, SSE3 Chipset (Southbridge): nVidia nForce 410/430 MCP rev. A3. Videocard: NVIDIA Geforce Go 6150. HDD: Samsung HM080JI S-ATA, 80 GB. Audio: Realtek ACL883. WiFi: Zydas Z1211B. 1) My first installation attempt stopped after installation screen appeared. The installation froze and after a lot of internet research I figured out that the first revision didn't support S-ATA drives on NForce chipsets. I injected the the iso with the new ATA kext and from there the installation went smooth. I already read that this is fixed in R2 so this shouldn't be happen anymore. 2) After installation, it came to my first try to boot which ended up abruptly with a kernel panic. It worked out that the problem was a non support NVidia graphic card. I had to delete some of the NV* and Ge* kext and after this the configuration wizard appears. 3) After installation and configuration the system worked, partially. I had to install some drivers for my Zydas Z1211B. Actually this a common used chipset for WLan adapters. Maybe it is a good idea to included it in the iso. The driver can be found here: ftp://ftp.zyxeltech.de/ZyDAS/ZD1211_USB/Macintosh/ZDA211MacUSB_install_4_5_7_0.dmg 4) After a while I noticed that my touchpad wasn't working properly. The tap wasn't working. So I had to replace the one from the DVD with this one: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=21952&st=20&p=160695&#entry160 695 5) There were some problems with my graphic card. To get it work I had to install the the MacVidia driver 1.0.81 AND NVInjectGo (just NVInjectGo didn't work) and the LaptopDisplay.kext from here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=37630 6) My sound card wasn't working and I had to install the kext from here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=36520 My wish list for revision 2: 1) Full support for my graphic card, because I don't have QE / CI support right now. Zeph, I know this is not exactly your business ;-) 2) A kernel which supports SpeedStep or PowerNow. My CPU consumes the maximum power all the time. That means the fan is running all the time and the battery time is very short. So maybe it would be a good idea to provide the second revision with CPU throttle kext and/or kernel to reduce the power consumption (and the fan noise of course ;-) 3) Support for my X10 WTI remote controller And at last I noticed two odd things and I don't know how I can fix this. 1) The system start takes very long if an usb drive is plugged in. Sometimes it doesn't start at all. 2) The MAC OS clock interferes with the XP clock. If I set the correct time in MAC OS the Windows XP clock is 1 hour behind the actual time. If I correct the time and next time I boot into MAC OS the time is 1 hour ahead so I have to correct this clock as well which means means the XP clock is wrong again and so on... Does anybody know what's wrong here? cheers, komeet |
on the test reports for version 2 it says (actually uploading it) does that mean good news or what does that mean?
|
That means I'm uploading it on ftp for Beta Test.

Hello everybody.
I know this forum is for the Beta 2 and rightnow is closed to some testers, and I know as newbie i can be a tail as a tester but i have expirience in Unix/Linux systems, so if you wish I can help as a tester. Meanwhile i'm reading some helps and tring to find some kext -just in case for the original iso and other i will modify- Even when i tryied to download the Zephyroth's version 1 its imposible the torrent in the bay that match doesn't have seeders or lechers some one can tell me specific keywords to look for, becuse I have an "new" -used by my cousin- lap is the HP's tablet TX1232LA an I want to see it runing in OSX-86.
