I can't wait to test this out. I got an HTPC, mainly used for satellite dvb, known as the CW3000HD.
If possible, I'd love to get my hands on the beta and see about getting kext's made for my pci and usb dvb/atsc devices and getting MythTV running with it.
Would look sweet as hell also, in 1080p glory.
Quick rundown of hardware:
Asus M2NPV-VM Mobo
AMD64 FX64 Processor
Geforce 6150 Video
Nforce Lan
A few other little things...
Would someone please put this on megashares instead of torrent when released? Megashares, you can upload a file w/out splitting it. Torrents take forever. Of course, ftp access is ideal ;)

Just a small (nealy OT) question:
Why do you keep the Beta closed for Rev.2 ?
Normally I understand a closed BETA for a product thats gonna be sold ... buy you re not gonna sell it, don t you?
So, besides keeping some noobs from asking stupid questions, what is the idea of having it in a closed group.
Adding some more people from time to time, when exotic chips come up, will just make your work endless ... so why not throw it out and lets "fix it" in a really huge group, as I think that all people in this forum here are really interrested in gettin Leopard up and running ;o)

Just my 2 cents ....

in case you din't found an answer to your question :

Imagine if I release it on Rapidshare. Imagine the number of people who will ask me the password ...
And how can we organize us in order to have clean reports if thousands of persons test it ?

I think it's not a good idea and by seeing how much persons ask to beta test I believe the majority just hope to see it working on their system.

So a few number of beta testers with different systems (representative of the majority of AMD systems) is a good way to improve Rev.2.
:)

I think thats the same way Microsoft thought when they gave out Betas of Vista .... and see how "improved" Vista is *LOL*

Actually my problem is, that my setup is so standard (A8N5X, Opteron 165, 2GB Kingston, Quadro FX 3400 (which never made it into QE/CI under Leopard)) that I wouldn t be a Beta candidate for your testphase ... and its killing me to read all your "protocols" without having it under my fingers ;o)

don't compare microjerks with apple :) or with zeph, you rule man :))

Puttabong 01-27-2008 11:58 PM

7eventh, Apple didn't have public betas for Leopard either - so that comparison lacks a bit of realism :D

Just a little more patience, it's worth to wait! RC2 is very improved!

Do not confuse all.

Your card doesn't allow QE/CI ? Ok but Rev.2 will not do anything more for that as long as a suitable driver will not be available.(or maybe you're not skilled enough to make it work ...)

I'm not recoding Leopard ...

Making an OSX86 release is just to put some things together (kexts, apps, some scripts ...) so that it will work on most systems.

I'm not waiting for anything. I don't have any release plan. I'm not organized. I'm just free and I will continue to be.

Those who want a new release ...

I've just one thing to say : All they have to do is to make one or be patient.
