seren - my objections to usenet are moral, not technical, in nature.

I will have to agree that all of the .rar files need to be nearly the same size. So I only download the files that are labeled as new/idle only right? Incompletes I disregard for now?

Correct! :)

what usenet clients do "you" recommend for this kinds of hefty download? Newsbin is giving my all incompletes.

Zephyroth, I'm seeing that the total image size is roughly 3.7GB in size. Was there anything that was stopping you from including the extensions folder? A typical single-DL is 4.7GB.

@ seren, it was a suggestion to some that have higher upload, I AM NOT asking for me, im good, I dont have to be patient, tyvm............downloading anyway!

@WinLinMac01

If you take a peek in one of parts, you can see that iso is as big as 4.4GB which is a full DVD.... 4,7GB is labeled on discs because manufacturers tend to count 1MB = 1000b and if you count it as 1024b as normal, you'll get that DVD is 4,4GB

Dude, I'm sure the .iso is compressed as much as possible for upload - that's what a RAR is (like a .ZIP file).

That probably isn't as much your newsreader as your news SERVER...
