I am not able to install iPC OSx86 distro on HP Mini 1001TU, because of ACPI_SMC error (I think so). Only iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5 that patches the ACPI_SMC error, but I love iPC OSx86. The ACPI_SMC kext in the plugins folder of ioplatformpluginfamily.kext, but this kext does not exist in iPC (I extracted Extensions.mkext). Could you please help me to sort out this with iPC distro. i have a problem with kernel
Hello, i have tryied to install iPC_OSx86_10_5_6_Universal_PPF5_Final.
Booting was ok ... i selected my hardware and installed the OSx86 but at restart i got an message. See the image. http://www.dordecor.ro/iDvL/01022009072.jpg what kernel showld i use? in the readme it say "If you are on an AMD or SSE2 System you MUST choose the Voodoo 9.5.0" i have selected that but ... i recive that error. please help and guide me trough the procces. Boot with iPC OSx86 DVD, Press F8. -v -x rd=disk0s2 then Press Enter disk0s2 is drive where you have installed os x. Try this |
I used iPC OSx86 Leopard 10.5.6 Universal Final
After the DVD booting and during installation i pressed Disk Utility but there's nothing in there [i suppose it didn't recognize my drive] But when i changed the bios [IDE-->ACHI] i can see my drive but after installation [still waiting for root device] How am i suppose to install? My spec: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 3600+ ATI SB600 Chipest 3 GB RAM 40 GB IDE [windows xp] 500 GB SATA -210 GB [MAC] -110 GB [Vista] -80 GB [Shared] Geforce 8400 SE 512MB Realtek HD Audio Realtek RTL8101E Lan plz help thx |
