Tell us about the exact Kernel Panic Information. It might be the very common Nvidia Kernel Panic, which is easy to fix.

I know that the "Do you already Own A Mac"-Dialogue does not work in safe mode. At least it didn't do for me.

Right, sorry about the crookedness of some of the image but i had to take it in 3 parts and stick it together because couldn't fit it all in one.

You have to delete the GeForce and Nvidia.kexts, look in the Wiki for this: http://osx86.wikidot.com/known-issues

Yes, Bap, I am glad to tell you that this is a very common error, and it is very easy to solve.

Actually 50% or more of us had this error.

This is caused by the GeForce Kexts that are installed by default.
The issue is resolved by removing the GeForce kexts at boot, and it can be done as followed:

Boot in single user mode, -s
Type:

mount -uw /
rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/GeForce.kext
rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/Ge*.kext
rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/NV*kext
exit

You could have checked the wiki, it's in there ;)

Right that worked, now i just have the small problem of getting passed the account creation section, it hangs there :(

And yes i have tried GM 640x480 to try and skip but it still hangs

New Update: Worked a little more on it today trying to get past the account creation, but as of yet no solutions have worked. It seems to be a strange problem i get through all the screens on the start up assistant and when i get through to the account creation and hit continue it hangs.. but it is actually creating the accounts as i am unable to use the same information a second time round because another user account is already using the details.

Does anyone know the next screen after the account creation or if there isnt one could there be anything else you can think of that might cause it to hang?

Thanks.

If you have an active Internet connection, the next 2 screens are "advertisements" explaning the virtues and trying to get you to buy ".Mac". After that it's a: "you can do ALL this kind of stuff" with your brand new OS screen. Then you finally get to the Desktop.

If you don't have an active Internet connection, I think it skips the ".Mac" stuff...

But, back to your problem...
I've never been able to work past the account creation stall once it's happened. I've always had to completely re-install again (and it's usually worked best if I re-partitioned while I was at it...)

The simplist way to get past the problem is to have a KNOWN WORKING, fully supported LAN Adapter. Seriously, it's much easier to just completely disable your onboard LAN and spend $10-$20 on a PCI Adapter that uses a Realtek RTL8139 (10/100) or RTL8169 (Gigabit) chip! Like this:

Just my 2 cents worth...

I shall try a re-install and hope for the best, cheers for the suggestions
