lol in the first post you said you want to stick to amd, but in the follwoing post you started talking about intel :) i guess you forgot what you wanted. As a former OS X AMD and future Intel user i recommend you get an intel processor, comparing an AMD with an Intel procesor: AMD is good for gaming and normal pc experience | Intel is good for processing power and games but less than AMD. Intel is the best choice for OS X not only because Apple uses Intel chips in the new Mac but because OS X is designed for processing power and for normal users.

yes i know :D

the problem was that i was not shure which one i should prefer .. but i think i will buy the asus amd board and keep most of my components ... for the first time .. if this will not work for me i will buy an intel board.

so im back at amd :D

well hellonwheels, sorry for my late reply i was off for a few days :)
my board is Nvidia 570 Ultra Chipset and everything works except the dual net thingy which is not useable with the forcedeth driver, so i had to by myself a cheap realtek card :) The name of the board is MSI k9N Platinum. I have zephyroths 10.5.1 installed and updated to 10.5.4 with ASU and modbin kernel 9.4.0 :)

hope this helps :)

Gigabyte boards are great for Intel based macs but also for AMD/am2. I have GA-MA-790X DS4 and i'm very satisfied with it.

I would thoroughly recommend an ironing board but not much use for OSx but the stratup times are phenomenal
