it doesn't actually quit, it just pops up with the application windows but they are all white. For example, I will open up pages and the main window for pages pops up bit it's all white as if it can't draw the application. All the menus on the menu bar work but not the actual application window. Keynote for another example just refuses to launch an I have to force quit keynote. Thanks for the help.

So have you checked for iWork updates using Apple Software Update as I originally suggested?
