Graphics card wise, I would choose Nvidia as they are used in all current macs. The rest of the hardware doesn't really matter. :)

Thanks for the advice Voyn1x. I was looking into getting a Gigabyte board. I do prefer Asus since they have given me the least amount of trouble over the years, but if I need to make a switch it may as well be for a board that will not give me fits on an install. I will look around and check out other member's rigs and decide from there. Will keep you posted on my efforts.

I was wondering, I downloaded the a retail version of mac osx 1.5.6 but should I burn it as dmg or iso ?

Open downloaded image with Disk Utility, then burn it to dual-layer DVD.

HI maya, thanks for your answer but I do not have OSX running yet. Only got windows to work with for now... I de-compressed the dmg and burned it on windows on a dual layer.

I've enterd in the 123boot disk and then the leo dvd it boots fine but then after the white screen with the apple logo it keeps getting stuck on the coloured circle in the corner (right before langauge selection...

any clues are very welcome !

Edit:
i've downloaded a boot 132 with some modefied kext in it. This worked great and I've now got OSX up and running ! :D:D:D

Hi Guys
I'm looking forward to trying this on my machine, I have an MSI G45 mobo with a C2Q processor. Any thoughts on that. I see that gigabyte seems the be the board of choice, but unfortunately i bought this board a little while ago and don't think i'll change soon.
Thanks for all the info thus far
Regards
