Hey thankyou so much for your help! i really think we're getting very close to working! i'm gonna try installing with these options you gave me alone. Here are the specs you asked for: (i got them from this direct link:notebookcheck.com)
Networking:Realtek RTL8168C/8111C Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (10/100/1000MBit), Atheros AR928X Wireless Network Adapter (bgn), 2.0 Bluetooth

I see the wireless should work on your notebook. The only thing is your gigabit lan... most do a search online... I am sure someone have got the driver for it.

No harm trying and do keep us all updated... cheers.

My LAN driver: realtek 8169 8168 8101E 8102E Ethernet driver

I have just rebooted after choosing those options. And it just stops at a gray sceen with shiny apple logo with no loading spinning circle

Hi,

Can you tell me which kernel patch u used? u can either use vanilla kernel or qoopz kernel. It wont work if you select both. If Vanilla is not working, try the Qoopz.

Mister.Burns 11-11-2009 09:31 PM

I used vanilla but I will try qoopz when I get back from class. Thanks

Mister.Burns 11-12-2009 04:08 AM

Neither worked idk why

Hi,

I guess, you can try the other kernels available on the ideneb....

As I know you can skip voodoo 9.5.

Mister.Burns 11-17-2009 05:44 AM

Ya I tried the others too and dis not work. Apologies about the lateness. I thought I already responded..
