So, with ahci enabled it's ok? or i misunderstood?

ok just wanted to share my thoughts on snow leopard on my Amd phenom 9600, 4gb of ram, geforce 8600 gt system.
i used hazard server, choose phenom kernel, amd fix, atiata kext and bootloader. system booted up. at first iv got crashes on itunes and stuff, like we all did, then pached all system folder with marvins utility and boom :) everything works, i was surprised how good everything is working, did all the updates, got NO panics at all. what can i say, its defiantly worth it, works BETTER than my previous system leopard 10.5.8. its amazing, just one thing, it wont boot on -force64, and there are no 64bit app support on 32bit boot :) like real mac. (shame, it would run even more faster then) but anyways im happy to tried to install snow leo on amd, have red a lot of forums like its useless and so on... well :) its brilliant. |
no way. it try to set a new hard disk sata in ahci and nothing same problems.
double panic. i don't know if the problems are in CPU or in the motherboard. i try other kernel and amd patch but the double panic is always in my screen.... with amd patch some times it give me a "restart or power off the system" screen. someone have my same problem? my snow installation config blacknight kernel charmelon rc4 ati ata ati 43x0 45x0 46x0 elliottforcelegacy rtc smbiosresolver evoreboot UUID appleazaliaaudio |

For a Higher res use the Callisto framebuffer for snow leopard and for Sound this. (Only the front headphones port works from what i read, but that's far better than nothing.)
