looks like I won't be needing ext2fsx. I don't have to access linux partition from mac. only ntfs is all I need for all of my other data, lol. Time to party, =)

winlinkmac01,

Code:

sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/
sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/

On my machine at home there is an app that will do it for you with a double click and by entering your password... ill up later

hello all..

where can i get the ext2fs.kext from? i selected it on install from the zp 10.5.2 r2 but it said it was installed wrong. when i tried to repair it..it said it does not exist on my computer? I just need a new one. I actually need it.

romefolks 04-15-2008 07:55 AM

if i cant get the ext2fs fixed..at least how do i stop that annoying "the system extension /Library/Extensions/ext2fs.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used" every time i boot up??

WinLinMac01 04-15-2008 11:45 PM

@rome, I can't even locate that kext. I would delete that then restart. That would fix the problem eventually, however, that is not the case. Darn, =(
