Got the same problem. File Sharing on the Hackintosh (checked with a connection from a MBP) does not work either. The console tells me, that AppleFileServer.app crashes everytime it's started. So it looks like one of the sharing frameworks or AppleFileServer.app is corrupt.

Firewall is already set to "Allow all incoming connections", unfortunately....

I really think this is a bug that slipped into rev.2. Is there a way I can "officially" report this to Zeph?

Thanks, Mike

EDIT2:

On further searching, it seems this is a bug in leopard itself...

I have the same problem and I can say, this problem exists only in rev 2 of Zephyroth DVD. His first .iso doesn't have this problem.

Update: However, I can see all Windows shares. Just can't connect to anyone via Finder

Update: I can connect to any share by smbclient

did you try the solution posted by louisvp in digg.com?

Create a new Location in your Network preferences and set it up to your workgroup etc... everything works fine then. Editing an existing location doesnt work, CREATE A NEW LOCATION.

I've just tried it. It doesn't work for me.

I think the problem is in Finder configuration, because smbclient works fine.
Does anybody know where it can be?

I've tried a number of different things that I have found around the web, with no luck. I'm even looking at re-installs and selecting different components to see if that changes anything.
