I think I fix it. I was using the forcedeth from 10.5.2 zephyroth release. Than I change for this: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=12933

I think the problem its gone. I did run Azureus at 60-70kb/s for about 20 minutes and that was ok. I´m gonna try another donwload with more speed (90K or more) and see what happens. I will give you guys my report.

just out of curiosity, which of the forcedeth versions did you try? regular, -nochk, or -d ?

Ive used the new forcedeath.kext too, sofar it has stopped all the freezes I have been having.
And The network was fine untill I hit 1mb in transmission, then the driver crashed but it didn't crash my system which is a positive as I have a wireless card anyway, but I needed the new forcedeath cause the old one was still causing crashes.

I used the regular one

This kext is a bit slower than my other network card but it stops the crashes

spoke to soon, It lasted longer but still crashed after a couple of hours.

to all: any overclocking on your systems? just curious, again :)

braid 03-22-2008 10:49 PM

I did change the 10.5.2 forcedeth version for the regular one. Slower network but no crashes so far. I just dont hit the 1mb speed at the torrent yet, but by http I downloaded at 102Kb/s and it was ok. Still looking for a decent torrent for download at full speed to see what happens.

edit: no overclock in my system.
system: amd 3500+ venice, a8n sli se (sux), 2gb ddr 400 samsung, 20gb ide 133 for osx, 200gb ide for files, 2x prolink 6600gt 128mb (sli not enable at osx, is it possible to enable that?) 1mb connection.

I´ve just finished download a 65mb file on transmition. Connected to 50 peers, reached the 1mb/s at 50% of the file. Speed remains above 90Kb/s until the end. NO CRASHES.

once again I did the procedure of the post n1: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=12933

Well, now everything it´s working 100%. I guess it´s time to say goodbye to my windows vista.

only things ive changed:

Disabled Indexing, turned off time machine, turned off screensaver, and in bios set cpu fan from 90% to full speed ( i believe at idle im around 32-33 Celcius)

I am over clocking (64 X2 3800+"2Ghz" OC'ed @ 2.2Ghz) DDR400 running at 440mhz
