yes, haha. i am glad i didn't act immediately upon roisoft's "advice" :)

Actually I have this working with netkas' 9.2.0 kernel, but for some reason I have yet to figure out there is a 30 second delay after my NTFS partition mounts at the end before desktop opens. This only happens with the modified kernel, my vanilla system runs perfect.

eddie, do you remember the 2-minute long delay before desktop that some people were experiencing after the leo gfx update? it was caused because they were using the 9.1.0 kernel before a hacked 9.2.0 was available. maybe this is the same kind of thing (have to wait for 9.2.2 so that everything in your system is compatible with itself)...? just a thought.

Well just a fyi....I had the 2 min delay before the desktop would open and I was using the 9.2.0 kernel with EFI MBR.

I have the update working without the kernel.

care to give us a snapshot?

I would have the same thought. That could be related. I'd rather wait for the latest kernel to be patched then install. Then to be on the safe side, for those users that have AMD systems, someone can patch the update with marvin's utility (CPUID, etc), and upload it on RD and we all can download it worry-free. =)

go to this thread and download the "patches" zip.

WinLinMac01 03-21-2008 06:58 PM

roisoft, for me personally, I can wait until 9.2.2 kernel patched is released (hopefully, :|).

roisoft 03-21-2008 07:00 PM

ok, but the "patches" will be the same + the mach_kernel
