as roisoft said although your logitech may be designed for usb 2.0 compliant devices, you can try enable only USB 1.1 and disable 2.0 or plug your device after install dvd boot. that may also work. However, I don't know how this may work in the post-installation. However, worth a try. ;)

Post install is another thing, and @Standard only need fix the IOUSBfamily.kext and AppleViaata.kext, itīs not a great problem.

Ok guys I really need your help on this one.
I managed to include the kext for my ATA / SATA controller into the DVD using TransMac. Great piece of software BTW. It succesfuly finds my ATA DVD and SATA disk. However, as soon as the installer loads the NTFS driver and detects my NTFS Windows Vista Partiton (which is not active) and echo's it's label, everything hangs. Is there anything i can do to avoid this? Btw, on my other system, i still get the same error as i did before and i'm sort of giving up on it ever running this release :-(. Help would be great! |
I had a same problem with the new MeDevil's kext. Had to inject the ones from Rev1. In my case the error was caused by my nForce S-ATA RAID not being supported (dev id 00ee) so boot was stuck trying to detect the partition on my RAID array. I've heard that some people had the same issue even with disabled RAID controller. Try booting with -x (safe mode) switch.

hi there, i tried to extract the IOUSB* kext from 10.5.1 release to put them in 10.5.2. rev2.
but in transMAC i donīt find any dir which are kext files are in.. where i have to look for ?! edit: with IsoBuster i can see the System/Extension directory, but i canīt edit the iso file, any idea (have to do this under windows ;( ) |

I finally got it to boot, but when I press continue on the welcome wizard on the Transfer files from another Mac, it hangs for a bit and then restarts the welcome wizard.
Welcome Wizard: Identify Keyboard -> Language -> Keyboard Lang. -> Transfer Files -> Identify Keyboard -> Language -> Etc... I'll try reinstalling. |

I finally got it too boot, I'm now trying to restore from my timemachine backup, but it seems to be hanging at the transfer of the applications folder...
Seems to be a lot of disk activity still, I'll let it be for a couple minutes longer, its 17 gb :p Edit: it works but just taking longer then I expected, its copying the files to support the applications now... Edit2: IT'S ALIIVEEE!, it's fully working and i got all my files back which i had before, I'm now using guid for my hard drive :D |
I had problems booting with Rev 1 so I thought I would try Rev2. The problem is now I cannot even install. While processing FixGUID at the end of the installation I get an assertion failure NSInternalInconsistency in IFInstallPlan.m:301.
The disk I try to install to contains one single partition which I have set to use GUID. |

The install of leopard 10.5.2. rev2 was successful on my system, the only problem I have so far is that I go a security and permissions error on the /Library/StartupItems directory for the RTL8187L wifi driver, once that problem was corrected I am still unable to use the network because the rtl8187.kext or the client software dont work. The workaround was for me to use my wireless D-link g-122 USB stick.
If anyone have any ideas on fixing this it would be appreciated. My base system is: Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe 2 gb DDR2 667 memory 1 WD 320 gb HD, 1 WD 250gb HD |
D-link g-122 USB stick is a very good adapter. I have that for my Intel system. =)

That shouldn't happen. Are you sure you burned the Disc at its lowest speed at 2x (what burning software did you use?) I suggest you use SwiftDisc 2.02 Premium Burning by: Primo Software, 30-day trial to burn your disks. I'm seeing you have a GA_K8NSNXP-939 (Nforce 3 chipset, how do I know, I used to own the 754-socket version of that board, and used to encounter problems quite often, =). I have a Nforce4 K8NXP-SLI board currently. My best option is to burn at lowest speed "or" study the problem more carefully because you may have to tweak your BIOS setting here any there. Do you see any errors when you are in Verbose Mode? Don't press F8 to get to the installation screen, just press enter when your BIOS is at the point when it is booting of the DVD. =)

Finally got my first working install with this version, but it only works if I install without any of the drivers. So default video only and no network for me. I'm new at this so I guess I'll be spending days searching forums and Google trying to figure out how to get my video card and network working but hey, at least I'm up and running! Thanks Zeph!

For me it worked only in single boot (only tryed darwin on mbr) and with the nforce 2,3,4,.. third party driver (without the latter "still waiting for root device"). Even if the installation hanged on last minute, it was installed.

I was able to install rev2 on my computer but just like the rev1, there is no sound and no lan.
forcedeth detects the card, assigns the IP but it says no cable plugged, network down. As for the audio, it's not even detected. ASUS M2N-E w/ nForce 570 Chipset AMD X2 4800+ 2GB DDR2 eVGA 8800GT Installed on 80GB IDE. Any ideas how to fix sound and lan issue on M2N-E board with nForce 570 chipset? It would be appreciated. I just tryied install the new 10.5.2 Rev.2 and i am constantly getting the multi-language "You must restart your computer"

I fixed the EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS) issue -- my RAM was set too fast @ CL2.0, just went back and set it as "auto" and it didn't have any problems then. Installation successful!
However, I got a blank screen when I booted into Leopard (when the video and welcome screen supposed to come up, after the grey loading screen). I tried doing -v -x but that didn't catch any errors since the problem comes up after that....any ideas? AthlonX2 3800+ on Abit AN8 mobo 2x512 DDR400 ram on dual channel Geforce 7950GX2 SATA DVD Drive IDE Hard Drive |
