boot with "-f -s" then when it starts in single user mode type:
Code:

/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/
chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/
rm -Rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext
reboot

this will cause your machine to reboot and now it will force load the Extensions folder and recreate your Extensions.mkext file automatically.

I have seen AGP graphics working out there, but I'll have to do some more digging to remember where I can get the files from for you.

Most people miss the customizing button because they are too excited to use OS X on their first time installing.

This is a little more of the info we would need to help you out:
http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.aspx?...ed#ProductTabs

The ALC883 is supported in the installer. you don't need to reinstall though. Simply use MainMenu from Macupdate.com to enable "Show Hidden Files" under the Finder section of the drop-down. Then navigate to the Install DVD and look in the System/Installation/Packages/ folder for the updates you need to enable your computer to work properly again.

For the network issue... just reset it back to manual in the System Preferences -> Network.

Don't forget to "Hide Hidden Files" again via mainmenu.

Thanks for your replay, my sound is working now but i still cannot connect to internet. using dhcp always "self assign ip". Set IP manually connect but cannot ping to gateway or router, anyone have another solution.

make sure you don't just assign an IP... you also need to set the subnet mask (usually just 255.255.255.0) and the router. Also, for the DNS servers I use the same IP address as my router and make sure you set the DNS domain to point to your ISP provider.

Hey guys & gals,

Just realized iv got a machine laying around, that would be perfect for Os X.
Its a MSI Mega Barebone 180

Specs are as following:
CPU: Socket 462 AMD Athlon XP 2800+
Chipset:nVIDIA nFORCE2 (Crush 18G) + MCP2T
Audio: AC'97 Codec integrated in Realtek650
Graphics: Integrated in nFORCE2(AGP 8X) (there is also an extra agp port, so i can change this if necessary)
Network: RTL8201BL(10/100Mb)

Will I have any luck installing osx on this? What distro should i use?

Thanks for all your help!

-Jaawa
