I did and I downloaded a file named as leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI-Rev2 and it came up stating "still waiting for root device". Is this an incompatibility issue or a burning issue?

That normally means your main chipset isn't supported properly (could be the release, could be your chipset just isn't supported in OSX, could be the way you have your drives arranged, could be the cycle of the moon...). Start searching - "still waiting" is probably the number ONE install issue... Could also be: you need to list all of your hardware to get really meaningful help (oh, wait, I think I said that somewhere else)...

Dude, laptops are tough, AMD laptops are even tougher. Your best bet will be to find someone with a similar lappy and see what can be made to work - and what can't... Either way, laptop installs generally require more work and don't always end in success.

Ageed. You generally have to make your own distro for the laptop itself (unless you are lucky enough to find a BROAD installer packed with the ability to fulfill your Hardware compatibility needs).
