Quick ? - Does the AppleSMBIOS only report the different system specs to the About This Mac? Or does it actually regulate the memory speeds, bus speed, cpu speed etc? Im using the new Kalyway 10.5.2 and the memory speed and bus speed is off. If I try other versions of the SMBIOS, will my performance increase if the correct values are reported?

thx

AppleSMBios only reports specific information about your system it doesn't control anything. Yes. there are quite a few discrepancies in what it reports, but they are merely cosmetic issues. Info such as ram speed and model type needs to be hard coded into AppleSMBios in order to report it correctly. No matter what ATM or ASP states, your Mac will be running at full speed regardless. Like I said, it's all cosmetic.
