Error:uncompressed file is not lenth recorded
error:couldnt uncompress plist from multikext achieve entry 1
mac os version:

darwin kernel version 9.1.0:sat nov 17 02:56:34 sct 2007:made by toh:xnu-1228.0.2~1/build/obj/release_i386

I have get kernel panic too by reason of SleepEnabler. Try deleting nullcpumanagement kext from the usb. Flip360 said that you don't need nullcpumanagement.kext if you use the newest asus bios.

Hi Guys,

I am very happy that I've succeeded to install the snow leopard to my K50IN. Just an interesting notice: At the end of the install, the installer told me that the process is failed, however after the reboot the snow leo booted up without any complains.

Only few things I couldn't fix, yet. The keyboard and the touchpad is dead, the shutdown and the sleep doesn't work.

The keyboard worked after the 10.6.2 update, but when I fixed the audio it came unusable. I've tried a couple of ApplePS2Controllers, but none of them worked.

Please advise me a kext for the PS2 and the shutdown/sleep issue.

Thanks a lot!

Adam

Hi Guys,

I am still looking for working kexts to keyboard, and Shutdown/sleep problems.

Itt van az én extra folderem: home.ebbolbajlesz.com/Extra.zip
A sleep ugyan nem tökéletes (ébredés után nincs hang), de a billentyűzet jó.

Hi flip360,

My hackbook won't auto sleep even I set time. How to fix this? Do i need the sleepenabler.kext?

flip360 03-15-2010 12:26 PM

hello guy`s,

@ Georgie99: it is a weird install at first but when one gets hold of the proper install method, everything is smoothie afterwards :) I hope you upgraded to the latest ASUS BIOS (221 i think). Try booting the USB with cpus=1 or -x, if you manage to install it, boot once more from the USB`s chameleon boot, and choose your fresh partition for booting. This will get you through the welcome screen. Also have the latest Chameleon 2 installed on the boot partition afterwards. I have reinstalled the notebook once more and have found out that we do not have any more use of SleepEnabler.kext or NullCPUPowerManagement.kext (which as it turns out is needed only for the USB install method).

@ keresztesvitez and mao_red and everyone else: here try this set of extensions that i am using now: http://www.mediafire.com/?mmnyizlznyn
I have proper restart/shutdown, audio, graphic, keyboard and trackpad (with multitouch gestures) and i am also using http://www.jinx.de/SmartSleep.html for working sleep mode, just dont forget to use the kext utility! :)

Cheers

i got something strange today..my kernel panics said *still waiting root devices*what is that?what should i do?

Abraxas 03-17-2010 06:06 PM

I installed original retail SL succesfully. I can only boot with boot CD though. I installed chameleon v2 but gives a kernel panic.
So appart from the bootloader and wifi i've got a stable hackbook!!(thnx to the people who made this possible):D
I bought a USB wifi reciever (sitecom wl-353), downloaded the latest OSX driver but then got a kernel panic. So i tried to uninstall the driver, but it seems to be still there. When i plug the USB in i get a kernel panic again.
Can someone please help me? I don't have a clue what to do next...
