Reluctantly. Then I have to download (another) one. Can't there be any other cause for disappearing of my hard disk?

roisoft 01-12-2008 07:45 PM

delete ioatafamily , appleviaata and replace with this file..

So is it profitable to do this, roisoft? I don't want to waste my DVDs :-)
I trust you, but how sure are you about this and "why"? I'm interested at this thing :-)

You have a Via chipset and for this reason, i am trying some kext from tiger release....you can try it or not, itīs your choice.

naquaada 01-12-2008 08:05 PM

Does a Tiger installation DVD detect your HD? If yes, format it from there and then try to install Leo.

I don't have a Tiger-DVD, but now I'll do roisoft's suggestion. Thanks, roisoft.

And it burns burns buuuurns ... with a kext of Tiger ... xD
(sorry for that spam ... I couldn't control myself :-} )

naquaada 01-12-2008 09:03 PM

DL an tiger image from anywhere, tubgirl is not bad for AMD...

Puttabong 01-12-2008 09:10 PM

@naquaada: he already injected the tiger kexts into his leopard dvd, and is going to test it again now.

Most of the time Tiger kexts are working, for example for my USB Controller.
Roisoft fixed USB issues with a Tiger IOUSBFamily Family kext as well. :)

I have to disapoint you (and me). I tried following:
- boot the dvd with -f and -v flags ... kexts were loading, loading, loading ... and ZACK my PC rebooted
- boot the dvd without any flag ... installer were loaded ... but my hd still wasn't there. :-(

@naquaada: I don't want to download Tiger, because now I know it's not the driver the problem.
@Puttabong: Any further suggestions? :-}

Thanks to you all,
Greetings
