I tried with EFI String Creator to make string for my 8800GTS 320MB. I'm not sure what went wrong, system is booting fine but looses dvi-input, blank screen, like no video signal sent to ports. Can someone confirm (if tested) successful process with creating string for this card. I've found something like NVCap could be the problem which is sending signal. Maybe my process is of adding the string is wrong.

@ zeph

is there already a solution for the 10.5.3 update?

Jojo, sometimes a picture says more than 1000 words :-) Thanks to zephy for the simple update using ASU.

Are you guys using any other things other than those which come with 10.5.3 update, AppleSMBIOS? What about Ge*, NV* kexts? I just added my efi string to default 10.5.3 kexts and i see its working very nice. I think that video card is working much better than in 10.5.2.

On the Mac it's System Profiler, SysInfo 3.24 was also on the Amiga :-) Do you have a standard A1200? I've reduced the most of my Amigas, now I have an A4000T/060 with 146 MB RAM, an A1200 with BlizzardPPC 060 @ 50 Mhz PPC603e @ 240 MHz and 258 MB RAM. My second A1200 has an Apollo 1240 running at 30 Mhz. I'm also using a nice C128 with CMD harddrive and 640MB SCSI MO-drive. Have you tried ScummVM and E-UAE on the Mac? Works great!

milanca 06-04-2008 02:56 AM

Thats a real amiga beast you have.. A friend of mine has the same one with blizzardPPC, zoro etc.. This one is standard A1200, @020, with Viper, scsi, cd-rom. I was messin' around with max-uae but now with e-uae and hi-toro. I also recently found my old C-64 down in my cellar, bought 1984 and in perfect working condition but all the accessories missed in action :-) only ac adaptor left and a bare machine. i have to revive this beast again soon somehow ;-)
