People with a Via chipset sometimes must put the sata HD on port 1 and edit the AppleVIAATA.kext with VEN/DEV ID

Do you have an USB HD or something else? Maybe this works.

I've got an iPod (and it appears) ... but my music hasn't got a place then :-}
My iPod appears, my DVD-Rom-Drive appears, but not my ATA(!)-HD.

@roisoft: I repeat: this isn't "my" thread. I have got a IDE/ATA-HD, connected by a IDE-Cable. But I've got an idea. Maybe I should change the IDE-Calbe-Ports from Rom and HD. Should I try this?

You can try the Flat image for windows ...

roisoft 01-12-2008 09:38 PM

Sorry, my fault!

roisoft 01-12-2008 09:39 PM

are HD and DVD in the same IDE port?

crawle 01-12-2008 09:42 PM

No, they aren't. BTW: Is this possible?
What do you mean with Flat image?

Puttabong 01-12-2008 09:44 PM

Is it correctly mounted as master, or did you set it to slave? What does your BIOS say when you are booting?

crawle 01-12-2008 09:48 PM

Ehm, I don't know. I think, it says something like slave. But I don't know. It disappears so quickly ;-)

Set the hd to Master and Dvd to slave not cable select ok? both in the same IDE port
