[cite] xlslx:[/cite]no one (official beta tester only) will get/have a copy of 10.5.1 Rev2. The Final will be 10.5.2 Rev.1 which will be a public release. so please stop asking....the release will be soon (until 10.5.2 is released by apple)
And when will that be?
I'm going crazy with the waiting!!!

xlslx 02-11-2008 08:02 AM

ask Apple! i dont know when it will be released to public finally, but this will be within the next days hopefully not weeks ;)

And for Zephyroth and all Testers:

I got Leopard Rev.2 Beta 2 WORKING on my HP Pavilion dv6130eu - AMD Turion 64 X2 Notebook - dont ask how . it was like walking through the hell - 2 times!....but i installed it ONLY using -v Bootflag successfully on my SATA Drive. But booting from HDD works only over USB2! on SATA i got the com.apple.Boot.plist not found error. Any Fixes here?
Twice my PS/2 Keyboard and Mice didnt work everytime, they only work SOMETIMES, really!. My Conexant HD Audio works, but the Sounds are choppy. nForce 4 LAN didnt work, my CPU isnt detected correctly under About this Mac (it means 1,6Ghz Unknown) but the System Info detects my 2 Cores correctly. The next thing. It knows my BCM4311 Broadcom WLAN Chip but it didnt works too. Did i forgot something!?....yeah the Graphixx

Yeah, so here are my issues in a list: (i hope Zephyroth and all others can help me (Zeph please correct it in the next release if possible))

- nForce 4 SATA Drivers didnt work correctly (install worked over SATA, booting not -> com.apple.boot.plist not found error, with every bootflag, pc efi 8 already fixed <- works!)
- nVidia GeForce 7200 Go didnt works (QE not supported, CI dont know yet) (Zeph: Your mpkg nvidia installer dont works -> The Mac Installer Program aborts (error) - will test it tomorrow twice!)
- Broadcom BCM4311 (PCI-e) is known, but not working!
- my PS/2 Keyboard and Synaptics Touchpad only working SOMEtimes (works when a USB Keyb or Mice is attached - subjective feeling)
- Conexant HD-Audio Chip works, The System Info means (no Audio (built-in) detected) but sound is there, but very choppy!)
- optional: 1,6Ghz Unknown -> CPU Detection didnt works.

PS: 4 Bonkey/Zeph/Puttabong: The Fixed Packages Directory is empty (The Packages are 0 bytes in size!)

Thanks, and i hope somebody can help my with any problem!

Hi,

I am very interested in beta testing the Zephyroth Leopard 10.5.1 AMD rev2, can anyone tell how/where I can obtain a copy, I also want to say that I truely appreciate the effort and time that goes into the creation and distribution of this software.

When can we expect the rev2 release?

My System:
MB: Asus M2N32-SLI Delux with nForce 590 chip set
Memory: 4gig DDR3
Video Card: NVIDIA gForce 7300GS
Hard drives: WD 250SATA, WD 320 SATA
Maxtor 160 IDE
CPU: AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core 4200+

Cheers

me too, i want

Gosh, I have almost the same config but can't use the rev1 =\
Were you able to install rev1 into anyone of your SATA hard drives? I think you installed it into your ATA, isn't it? If not so, how did you do it?

I actually had no problems installing Rev.1 with the exceptions of not being able to install on SATA drive(But I can read from them, not write to them) and install a kext for my audio to work. I have recently discovered that there is a new AppleNForceATA.kext out there that will allow you to read/write to SATA drives but in order to install on SATA drive you will have to inject it into the .ISO file, I am still playing with this until Rev.2 is available.

xlslx 02-11-2008 06:29 PM

The Rev.2 will never be final for public - 10.5.2 Rev.1 will be the next public available version. So wer´re all waiting for Apple´s 10.5.2 Release.

@All: Anyone can help me with my Problems 2 posts above??

mrxa 02-11-2008 07:12 PM

Where can I find "official" 1st rev.?
I downloaded few releases that suposed to be 1st rev but it seems that they are not.

I have a big issue. Whit this dvd I cant get installation to start.
System starts to reboot in Darwin bootloader just about it detects HDD.

I am currently running on Tiger 10.4.8 (JaS Release). Here is screen of dvd content so you can tell me if it is rev. 1:

thx infront...

xlslx 02-11-2008 07:55 PM

it looks like the 10.5.1 Rev1 which is available through BiTorrent...it is official...the next release will be 10.5.2 Rev.1....Rev2 beta 1 and 2 are for internal beta testers only. but please do not ask to be one of them, we´re enough!

allfil4 02-11-2008 08:53 PM

one more willing to test rev 2

My system:

MB: EPOX EP9NA-J Nforce 4 Chipset
CPU: AMD OPTERON 165 Denmark
hd1: HItache deskstar SATA 2
hd2: MAXTOR DIAMOND MAX 9
MEMORY: ELIXIR 2*512 DUAL CHANNEL c.l. 3
V.CARD: SAPPHIRE x1950 GT

rev 1 works almost perfect, safari make crash system when downloading, final cut 6 renders realy slow 1 hour of avi standard video (700mb) take about 10 hours to render video-sound imovie does not work, so, of course i want to test rev 2 and report bugs,i'm just deperate to be a beta tester, i share that wich wit too much people

I am not asking for being tester, i am just interested in my problem with this release.
I get error during dvd booting just around this line : " BSD Root: Disk2s3, major 14, minor". I get this error if I turn off firewire.
If the firewire is on, i get error that install need to go to secure mode or something like that.

either way, this is the point where booting stops and after 20-30 secs system restarts.
I tryed to unplug SATA hard and to use just IDE but nothing changed...

please help if You knew what is it...thx

Hi, I have AMD 3200+ With sse2. I have 10.4.8 working perfectly and i want to upgrade it to 10.5.1.
I researched a little bit and I found the there is EFI so it would be easy to upgrade.
Will it be available for AMD SSE2?
Can I upgrade my installation with the REV1 DVD?
Thanks
Amitai

@ mrxa: at me the Firewire will be full-secured during boot too, and the BSD Line is ok too. It works...do a screenshot!

To Zephyroth:

Hello, do you think atheros wireless will work on rev 2??? can you test (or someone) if in my computer will work rev 2 because I downloaded rev 1 and i am having a kernel panic so i am not able to install it....

My computer:
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4767, it has 2 gb ram, AMD turion 64x2 Dual Core Mobile Technology, 250 gb HDD + 80 gb HDD (external), ATI Radeon X1200, 54g Atherols Wi-Fi (802.11b/g); 10/100 Ethernet; 4 USB, 1 FireWire, 1 VGA, 1 S-Video, 1 ExpressCard 34/54. 5-in-1 memory card reader, Realtek High Definition Audio ALC268

Will it work on my computer???

timeflux 02-12-2008 01:08 AM

Hi all,

First, thanks for all the great efforts!

I have 2 questions.

1) My system is ASUS M2N-E (north bridge: NVIDIA nForce 570 Ultra MCP), AMD X2 4800+, 2GB Patriot DDR2, eVGA 8800GT, 200GB SATA Disk. Would Zephyroth Leopard 10.5.1 AMD work on my system? If it would, do I need to make any changes in the iso, like kext injection?

2) I downloaded Leopard-AMD-10.5.1.iso which is 4,698,669,056 bytes. Is this rev1 or rev2? If it's rev1, where can I download rev2 from?

Thanks all

xlslx 02-12-2008 05:53 AM

@timeflux: This is Rev.1 which was publically (correct?) available - 10.5.1 Rev.2 not and Rev.2 is signed as Leopard-AMD-EFI-10.5.1 because EFI+GUID is avaiable in Rev2 and this works (tested on my AMD Laptop) Hope too that 10.5.2 which is now officially available will be integrated as soon as zeph has time to!

megaargon1 02-12-2008 06:11 AM

GREAT NEWS! 10.5.2 RELEASED! 341MB TOTAL SIZE, TIME FOR REV. 2

iam sorry but Rev.2 and Rev.2 Beta 2 arent available for non-beta-testers :( i cant (not allowed) to give it to you. But as the 10.5.2 is integrated into the latest 10.5.1 Zeph Edition it will be release as public version - zeph said that...

Wait isn't 10.5.2 being integrated into Revision 2 not into the existing Revision 1 (thus causing processing delays on public torrent sites)?

mrxa 02-12-2008 03:42 PM

what this forum is here for if you can help me with mine problem regarding rev. 1?
It is here for that (not only my problems of course) but i am seeing no help from "those who know solution"...

THeKiNG 02-12-2008 04:16 PM

Since 10.5.2 is out should expect 10.5.2 release?
Thanks!

DoiX 02-12-2008 04:40 PM

of course

braindead803 02-12-2008 04:56 PM

what tracker, when released, should we expect to see 10.5.2 on. TPB perhaps since zephyroth released his first edition on there and its still there. ??

xlslx 02-12-2008 06:01 PM

Youre very unpatient right? wrote the same comment in 2 different topics....let zeph do his job well done first and after that he will tell us how to obtain a copy!

mrxa 02-12-2008 06:53 PM

could ANYONE anwser my question and solve this problem??

megaargon1 02-12-2008 07:10 PM

Let's all sit back and wait. Patience indeed counts. I do agree. If you want a flawless image, WAIT is the key. :-)

guliath 02-12-2008 09:29 PM

hey guys, does anyone knows if Zeph's leopard will work with my motherboard? it's ASUS M2N-MX (it has nforce 430, and i think audio is not nvidia, AM2 socket)

thanx

pαuℓzurrr. 02-12-2008 10:00 PM

Zephyroth, do you think there still will be a release today (A) ?

subsonic 02-12-2008 10:09 PM

I hope it will be released today. In fact, i am pretty nervous about the upcoming release. It could be the first time i have a working Leopard on my main machine. =)

xlslx 02-12-2008 10:14 PM

at me the latest (for now) release works on my HP Notebook but NOT very well....hope the same too

First of all I would like to congratulate Zephyroth & all those involved to congratulate on this tremendous great opportunity to get OSX to the masses. I was amazed how well Rev1 ran, Install, config and running OSX86 natively on my rig. If you need a dualsocket AMD Opteron betatester you know how to contact me :)

Hooray, the release is only a few feet away, hooray! :-<>

mrxa 02-13-2008 06:04 AM

is it gonna be released soon?
i hope it will be today beacuse I want to update to Leopard since rev. 1 doesnt work on my rig ;)

braindead803 02-13-2008 06:09 AM

we all want to mrxa. including myself. rev 1. didn't work for me so hopefully 10.5.2 rev 1 will

mrburns05 02-13-2008 07:04 AM

so im concerned now. 10.5.2 update stopped all NViject or Natit, or Titan.kexts(s) from working properly... I hope this gets resolved and we see Zeph's 10.5.2 rev1 soon

OldSchool-c- 02-13-2008 11:08 PM

Hi to all, i have tryed to install the rev 1 on my laptop (Microstar s270) but no success.....

The install process stopped with a "waiting for boot device".

I have tryed some "distribution" and all make same error....

Today i have tryed iATKOS 1.0r2 and SURPRISE !!!! It BOOT !!! The install process find the my ATI IXP chipset (i have see on the sceen with -v option, that it find my chipset with a AppleServerWorksATA ktext and not with AppleGenericPATA) and it boot fine and i have see the problem now.

The kext from all distro (zeph v1 too) not recognize propely the second ide channel (0x170 the first is 0x1f0)

The distro not work oblivusly because it is for intel not AMD but it boot !!!

In zeph rev2 is fixed this? maybe in 10.5.2?

Wait for reply.... is impossible install on my laptop for now....

Configuration:

2GB Ram
HD 250Gb
WiFi Ralink 2500
Lan Realtek 8139
Chipset ATI rs480
Video Radeon Xpress 200M

Thanks in advance

roisoft 02-13-2008 11:28 PM

The distro works in AMD if you apply a post patch from HERE

OldSchool-c- 02-13-2008 11:44 PM

This is for v1.0i or is ok for 1.0ir2 too ?

roisoft 02-13-2008 11:52 PM

This one is for r1 but you can apply the post pacth if you can install from r2, because the post patch is only the marvins cpuids, follow the "readme".

OldSchool-c- 02-14-2008 01:08 AM

@roisoft

Ok, i do download the r1.

The r2 stops to boot at "Jettisonig kernel linker".......

delian7 02-15-2008 12:38 PM

Ok, first of all I am so happy that apple finally released the update, so Zeph can finish his up... I am sure that we will be proud of him.

I know that my Realtek High Def Audio on chipset ALC888 will work on Zeph's 10.5.2 Rev. 1. I also know that my Lan (Realtek RTL8201N) will work on 10.5.2 Rev. 1. However I am unsure that my graphics card will work out of the box in 10.5.2. My graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. I am unsure the chipset (I am still a noob.) Can someone clarify either will my graphics card work out of the box, or is there a driver for the 10.5.2 release. Thanks.

My second question is, because 10.5.2 has a bootloader will I have to install tiger, and then install leopard on top of the installation. In other words, will I have to install tiger first, and then leopard.

If you need additional specs. on my machine you can visit the following HP page:

h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3440614&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&submit. y=7&submit.x=7&lang=en&cc=us

Thanks so much to the Zephyroth community, and Zeph himself (you rock!!)

damniatx 02-22-2008 06:08 AM

any rapidshare link for this ?, thanks....
