Just talked to meklort on IRC; to allow 64-bit support for SSE3-only CPUs, there need to be changes in the commpage to use SSE3 commands instead of SSSE3. I'll be working on that. ;)

Sysctl says 16. :S all I get is a instant reboot. Same on Linux, cat /proc/cpuinfo says 16.

Ok ! You try fix it )

My system stucks like the System of gedna.
One line before DSMOS will be displayed.

I'd love if someone added it for me as I have a barely working OS X system at the moment. (You know, Snow Leopard and GTX 550 Ti don't like each other so I'm stuck at 1024x768)

I'll be waiting for a updated kernel. :)

Actually, this is new for me. :) I'm gonna try and see what I can do, though.

I also have the exact same problem.. Using the Model 5 Kext with a vanilla Lion 10.7.0 Install (with FakeSMC and NullCpuPowerManagement)

Any help would be very appreciated

Thank you so much for your work, Bronzovka! I knew there was a way for AMD users. Good thing I held on my system.

Unrealized 04-04-2012 05:26 AM

Could someone tell me if my 10.7.0 install media works if I upgrade through Snow Leopard? And why it removes all files when I pick restart in Lion installer? I'm a bit confused here. Any help is appreciated :) or do I need to download 10.7.3 iso somewhere? (I burned my 10.7.0 App Store download to disc last year.)

(Also, can I install Lion to a partition by double clicking OSInstall.mpkg?)

I don't have a intel machine so I need a way to install it. :) I guess Xmove with 10.7.3 iso would work? Unless the kernel doesnt work with a 10.7.3 based installer either.. :(

Can someone who installed it without a intel machine tell me how they did it?

mount -uw /

exit

should say
removed 2## orphand / unlinked files and 9 directories
(just an example)

then it boots. for me boots on third try and says the above line .its weird

It has the same kernel! I haven't had the time yet to test it. Will report back when i've tested the DVD.

Do you have Amd Turion 64 X2 on your Dell?

PookyMacMan 04-04-2012 03:55 PM

The first thing I'm going to do is apply the diff to all the Lion xnu sources and see if that will boot the installer. :)

Anyone knows a way to install this without a Intel machine?

gedna 04-04-2012 04:18 PM

ok i give up at the moment :) tried everything i can possibly can, from boot flags to different kexts, and fakesmc, CANT pass the waiting for DSMOS.. hang, i think it could be related to bootloader, but i cannot imagine that chameleon cant boot lion, nonsense, tried Clover_v2_r338_EFI_x32_x64.pkg it gives me black screen, or i dont know how to install it properly.

I think if you've got a GUID partition use boothfs -32, or if you have MBR patched drive install use boot0 32.

How?Since one cannot boot with the installer. Any steps?

Do I use my 10.7.0 install media or do I download it elsewhere?

I've heard that you can install on another partition from using the Lion Install WITHIN Snow Leopard, so you don't need to boot the Installer. Also look at this: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.co.uk/201...-107-lion.html

Yeah, I know XMove, but it fails.

I would love to know how do I install Lion within Snow Leopard, as the OSInstall.mpkg method doesn't work. It says there is no software found to be installed.

I'll try using CCC to clone the Snow Leopard installation to a GUID partitioned drive. Maybe XMove works then.

(Also, 1024x768 is starting to hurt my eyes, 3 weeks with no QE/CI is fun :P)

:/

Have you treid forcing your resolution?

Graphics Mode=1280x1024x32

Replace the bolded with your native resolution. It won't fix QE/CI but will have native resolution.

Yeah, I did, it reverts to 1024x768 :)

Anyways, back on topic, xmove worked on my GUID formatted partition, but the installer doesn't really want to start. all I have is a console, where I can write stuff but it doesn't load anything. And with -legacy I get a kernel panic.

Will try with 10.7.3 iso if it has some more use.

There's a "AMD 10.7.3" iso floating around.

I'm getting a kernel panic. First try run with boot flags "-v -legacy"

A good option with Lion is to NOT use an E/E folder ...

Hope someone who downloaded it could tell about their experience with it. :) I'm personally downloading the 10.7.3 installer from App Store.

I think it doesn't work for install even when it's 10.7.3 dmg from app store..
