X64 is working great!

Just do not open the x86 apps, but I think we can live without them :D

Can i ask, how did you boot into 64 bit mode? What commands did you enter? because its not working for me even though my CPU is 64bit enabled. Thanks

maybe I expressed myself poorly.

With (mach_kernel_32)
just use the flags: npci=0x3000-force64

the system keeps stable even after a long time.
Only 32-bit apps do not open. But 64-bit apps work perfectly!

Sorry for the bad English, I'm Brazilian ^_^

Mh I downloaded the latest IOUSBFamaly (1163). Mass Storage works again YOHO! But still I can not boot with -force64. Without it everything is like it was with Kernel V4. Itunes, Textedit and the other apps crash after a few minutes, orginal Finder dont work.

Here is a screenshot of booting with -force64:

To use the patch finder.

If you do not use "-legacy" 32 bit apps will not work at all!

Thanks but im still unable to boot in 64bit mode using -force64? It only boots using -legacy?
Using -legacy - all 32 bit apps work and 64bit apps but after 10min the 64bit apps crash and dont work but the 32 bit apps work fine.
If I boot using -force64 - it doesnt boot to Lion. Thanks for your help mate.

would you mind to let us know your specs / cpu?

m28ew 05-01-2012 05:50 PM

@aaqib7
felipeunix is running the osx on his AMD Bulldozer FX 8120 which supports the SSSE3 instructions
that's why he can run the 64-bits apps

@felipeunix
AFAIK (CMIIW) the -force64 has not been implemented in the legacy kernel yet
and since you have the FX series AMD, by default you're running the osx in the 64-bits mode (with / without arch=x86_64)

@ryman
I got same issues here
After several minutes, the annoying xpchelper crashes are still occurring, then most of apps refuse to run :'(

@justinster123
Keep up the good work! (Y)
Your efforts are appreciated :)

AMD FX-8120
ASUS M5A97-EVO
2x2GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz
SSD Corsair F3 60gb
Geforce GTS 250
M-AUDIO Firewire 1814
Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000

no problem with any device for now ..
the cache of the CPU is not shown in the system information, but the speed is right now displayed correctly

I can help with something else?
