I'ts working fine, in fact it always worked out of the box with all Leopards and Tigers I've tried, and they're a lot.

Jojo: I would love to help you but I have no experience on Vista, sorry m8, although I've seen that many people uses GRUB, I'll tell you if I find something.

[cite] mauror:[/cite]I'm downloading the "Leopard-10.5.2-AMD-EFI" from a torrent.
Could you tell me if the system will work on my notebook Acer Aspire 5520-5912.
It has an AMD TL-58, GeForce 7000M, 2 GB (RAM) and a Toshiba hard drive (160 GB).
You can try, may it works
But i have an acer aspire 5520-5679 and very looks like yours but no success at this moment :S

cgsheen

eMatoS was correct.
I have an MSI K9N Diamond. Under the BIOS entry for "Power management features" is "ACPI function" enabled or disabled then "ACPI Standby state" S1/POS or S3/STR. The APIC entry is under "Advanced BIOS features".

The only help I need is figuring out how grub is loading the SLIC BIOS emulation for the OEM version of Vista I am testing so I will not include my other stats.
BTW, I do know that this is the wrong place to ask about grub so I am not expecting an answer on that. :)

Luck eMatoS, and everybody else.
Zephyroth, AWESOME release. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

[cite] eMatoS:[/cite]I have a Asus A8N-SLI with the latest Bios update. The only option I can change in the bios is ACPI enabled/disabled and S1 or S3. I tried every combination without success.
Ya, I can promise you - it's NOT whether you're using APIC 1.1 or 1.4 (which is a COMPLETELY different thing than ACPI)...

But - you're probably going to need to "screen shot" the entire text of the error, kernel panic, or whatever in order for someone to actually help. (And "A8N-SLI" doesn't really help us to do anything but try to find specs on that MB by ourselves... Do yourself a favor and supply as MUCH information as possible (down to the chipsets used) - you'll probably get much more information in return.)

Best release soo far. Most of the things work.

THE biggest MAJOR problem I have with this release is, the fact that my onboard REALTEK AC 97 soundcard doesnt work. I usually hear a sound here and there. But mostly its silent.

I dont have a clue what might be wrong as Im not a native mac user, and/or how to install drivers on a mac.
I have some Linux experience tho, but soo far lack of mac knowledge remained fruitless in providing a fix.

Has anyone resolved such or simmilar problem with Realtek AC97 drivers on any motherboard?
My motherboard is mini form factor: Asus A8V-MX.

Hope someone has time to write a few lines regarding this issue.

I have Realteck ALC850 soundcard with AC97 drivers. I have no problems at all with sound. When installing Leopard I only have chosen AC97 drivers from the list. That's all.

I have the only problem so far. Every time I restart/start Leopard only English language remains in my Language Input Menu. I have to set again and again other two languages after restart to be able to type using them. And everything works ok until next restart/start of Leopard. I'm not sure if this problem was when I installed Leo, probably not, it has appeared later - I can't recall really. Anyone experienced this problem or knows where to search or how to solve this problem?

By the way, for sometime I couldn't solve the problems with finding the printer in Print and Fax Preferences (even it was identified in System Info) even after downloading latest HP sofware through Apple update. The problem was solved after I launched file "csregprinter" in System\Library\Printers\Libraries. Maybe this will help others who have similar problem.

Dear Sirs,
I have a little trouble with my video card:
GeForce 6800 256Mb Ram PCI-E 256bit DDR3 (on nForce4 s939, with DVI/VGA monitor LG 15")
Help me please.

PS
All another things works very good, and in "About this mac" i see my videocard with right name and ram size, but videostreaming is too bad, screensavers works steply(with a low fps)
