Should I include latest Quicktime and iLife update ?
Yes.

guliath 02-14-2008 04:55 AM

i vote to include them

HCE 02-14-2008 04:57 AM

I vote to leave them out and let people decide if they want them later on.

guliath 02-14-2008 05:00 AM

wait, can i insatll them EASILLY later? in that case i vote for the NO INCLUDED thing

HCE 02-14-2008 05:02 AM

I believe it's simply a matter of downloading/installing them. That's why I vote for leaving the installation image as light as possible. But that's just me.
P.S.: If I'm wrong, then better include it, it will surely make some people happy.

zephyroth 02-14-2008 05:04 AM

ok no cpuid for iLife and only one for QuickTime (QuickTime.components) so it should be easy to install later.

eard 02-14-2008 05:13 AM

i vote to include them
anyway, we will to downlad them later, so download the iso with the files inside
is the same thing but more easy :P

quick question, just to verify...

previous posts indicate that zephyroth's 10.5.2 rev1 will have sse2 only support. is that still the case?

i ask only b/c i see there will be some kernel updates to this release. want to make sure the sse2 only support doesn't get squashed in the process.

thanks, and great work you all!

[update]: by sse2 only support, i mean support for procs that do not have sse3. obviously if you have both, you're already all set.

lol in 10.5.1 rev 1 zeph forgot to add the sse2 kernel meaning it had only sse3 kernel 10.5.1 rev2(not released to the public) has sse2 and sse3 kernel, 10.5.2 is 10.5.1 rev2 with the updates an other stuff (this one will be released to the public) has sse2/3 kernel support(as 10.5.1 rev2)

Zeph I know you must get sick of this but I'm really really curious, how did you solve the nforce lan problem. I have 10.5.2 up and running new kernel etc. But still have the same issue.
