What does it say in in System Profiler about your graphics?

iPC works great on my HP Pavilion S3500f

AMD Athlon X2 5400+
Asus nVidia MCP61 (custom board for HP)
4GB DDR2 800
1TB WD HDD
Optiarc DVD
PNY nVidia 8400GS (low profile)

Only thing is what sound kext to use for sound I know its a Realtek ALC888, it is functional but no input and cant use front headphone jack on system. Audio device [0403]: nVidia Corporation MCP61 High Definition Audio [10de:03f0] (rev a2)

the way my realtek ALC888 started working is i installed the ALC888 package first in the installation or in the DVD but nothing workek, and then i installed ALC888 Legacy Address 0, and that solved everything with all my jacks working. Except their independetely and not detected as 5.1 in the audio MIDI setup utility.. but oh well..

good luck

oh and also i tried installing my leo4allv3 graphics drivers, the ones that worked with no problem, but they crashed my system.. so i learned the hard way that 10.5.6 is a really major update! :)

I actually tried the HDA patcher after grabbing the codec dump for mine.
which allows me to pick my speakers (back speaker/line out) or headphones (front jack)
Inputs do not match anything (Internal Speakers and Internal Mic)

I will try the various alc888 packages from the dvd.

Now I have to solve another problem, mouse won't work sometimes on boot up. also get wierd USB hub errors.
Keyboard and mouse are Logitech Cordless Desktop EX310 keyboard and Laser Mouse (single RF receiver)
But one nice thing the HP media drive (compact flash, SD, etc) works.

Ok,I have total success, except for one little thing... -Audio :-/ I go to sound/output and It tells me "No output devices found." in spite of me installing the proper driver (ALC889A).What can I do???:'(

install the HDAEnabler kext file so the system shows that it works... then make sure you correct permissions and have an updated Extensions.mkext file or just boot with -f to ensure it is using the kext.

i'm trying to install this release on a toshiba laptop model A305D, turion x2 cpu, 3 gb ram, ati video. i get stuck on IOAPIC error. i tried booting with various parameters (i searched teh net for a sollution), but with no luck. i also tried leo4all v 4.1.1, kalyway 10.5.2 and another one, i think it was ideneb. no luck.

the bios on the laptop is more than crippled, so there are no choices for sata, power amangement, etc. even the cpu can be set to dynamic or low speed only :)

anyone here can help me with this?

The last post in this thread talked about this but being that your not able to make changes in the BIOS I don't think its going to do you any good. Figured Id pass it along.
