I've read that some people have had problems getting Toast to launch correctly because they did not have QE/CI enabled, however, I do have it enabled and Toast still won't launch. I'm just wondering if others have experienced the same issue? I have a fresh install of Zeph's 10.5.1 rev 1 and so far everything else seems to be behaving.

My Specs:
AMD64 X2 6000+ @ 3Ghz Per Core (SSE3/Socket AM2)
MSI K9N SLI (nForce 570 MCP)
2Gb DDR2-667 Ram
nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB (Zephyroth nVIDIA Universal Installer)
Onboard Sound ALC888 Chipset (Skippy's ALC888 Patch)
Netgear FA311 10/100 PCI (Onboard nVIDIA Lan not working)
Hitachi 160Gb IDE HD - Mac OS X 10.5.1 (Zephyroth)
Sony Dual Layer IDE DVD RW DW-Q28A
Apple Pro Keyboard
MS Optical Intellimouse 5 Button USB

QE/CI is neccessary. Which version of Toast do you have? Mine is 8.0.112 and it works without problems.

R0GUE, that's a little bizarre, because Toast 8.3 worked on Rev. 1 for me, and so it does on Rev. 2!
However, it didn't work without QE/CI. All I saw was the app Icon appearing, bumping, and disappearing again :)

Please post a picture of your System Profiler, which shows the Graphic Card Info.

Hi naquaada,
I've tried 8.1 and 8.3 to no avail. I might have 8.0 kicking around somewhere in the archives, so I'll try and give that a go. Popcorn 3 also produces the same error - I guess because it uses the same engine as Toast.

edit: puttabong,
I'll do that. Thanks.

Exactly the same problem here with the Rev 1 release. Bouncing icon then nothing. QE/CI enabled too. Tried downgrading to Toast 8.0 which used to work on Tiger 10.4.8 but had no luck with that either.

Specs:

Nvidia 6600GT
Athlon 3500+ SSE2 (Overclocked)
2Gb Ram
Gigabyte K8NF-9
Realtek AC97 ALC850

Voyn1x;
When you launch Toast take a look at the console and see what error you get. I'll post my results back here for comparison.

Will do, i'm at work at the mo - will post them in a couple of hours :)

Ok i've now looked in my console, it doesn't seem report any errors (unless i'm looking in the wrong place) since Toast stays in my dock saying 'Application not responding'. So I force quit it and I get:

([0x0-0x107107].com.roxio.Toast[33254]): Exited: Terminated

which i think is the standard response from a force quit.

These are the details for my graphics card driver:

Toast needs some decrypts too

This may be "repeating the obvious" but did you use Marvin's AMD Utility after you installed Toast?
