can't burn dvds or cds with the new applenforceata.kext
so i am looking for a fix

i have an nforce 4 chipset
motherboard is mpc61
and it is all sata no ide on my board

you must wait a new kext release by Medevil or buy a USB/SATA adapter, it works perfect.

Or for the sake of Ģ20 buy an ide dvd writer, I bought one that plays dvds quietly because as far as I know there is no way to control speed in leopard

whatīs your first boot device (bios)? Try changing in your bios or open your case and change the cable.

the dvd burner drive is first boot

You can try it and post the results here, if doesnīt works , back to the previous settings and thatīs all.
